It is all about how customers perceive the services and the various interactions throughout online and offline channels that companies in tourism industry provide. Every company in the Tourism Industry tries to add value in an innovative way in order to ultimately design memorable experiences for travelers.
We are looking for an inspiring and creative professional who contributes to teaching and development of industry projects within our Bachelor program Tourism Management. You will teach and develop courses in the field of Experience design, Imagineering, Consumer Behavior, Customer Journey research and digital skills. You contribute to strengthening national and international relationships with relevant industry partners. You will coach and supervise students in groups or in their internships and graduation. You represent the academy at relevant networking meetings. You will contribute in identifying the knowledge requirements in the tourism and travel industry and the translation to and execution of projects for students and staff, also on a commercial basis.
Candidates who have proven experience in a commercial environment with both online and offline tools who will inspire our students to excel in their studies have our special interest. Ideally you have gained insights in the tourism, travel, recreation or leisure industry. Knowledge of design thinking, creative tools or online marketing can be an extra benefit. You have at least a Master Degree in a relevant subject. You either have teaching experience or are willing to be trained in didactical skills. Furthermore, you are inspiring for students and staff and familiar with modern educational views. You function well in an international and intercultural setting and your verbal and written communication skills in English are excellent.

This vacancy has a temporary character for a year, extendable with another year. The salary for this position will be at a maximum of level 11 of the CAO-HBO (Collective Labour Agreement), earning in between a monthly minimum of €3,477.27 and a maximum of €4,777.65 gross (full-time) depending on your experience. You will receive a fixed annual benefit of 8.3%. Apart from this, Breda University of Applied Sciences offers you an 8% holiday allowance and a compensation for your health insurance. With a full-time position and a working pattern of 40 hours per week you are entitled to 10.7 weeks of holiday leave (including public holidays).
