The activities to be performed include:
- Development and delivery of course material for the bachelor and/or master programme with a strong focus on the technical knowledge and skills to create finished interactive digital entertainment products including, but not limited to, 2 or more of the following:
- Mechanics design
- Bug tracking
- Producer roles
- Level design
- Gameplay balancing
- Multiplayer gameplay design
- Metrics-based design/analysis
- Delivery of lectures and workshops to students on both a bachelor and/or master level.
- Technical coaching and supervision of students in Project-Lab our in-house game development studio.
- Supervision of internships and graduation projects.
- Participation in (research) projects focused on the digital media industry.
We are looking for candidates with recent and demonstrable (international) experience in the digital entertainment industry. Applicants with a master degree or PhD and experience in the academic field are highly desirable. In addition experience in development of digital entertainment products with a focus on games (console, mobile, web) is required. Ideal candidates possess teaching experience in higher professional education and experience with practical skill-based teaching or the willingness to do a training in didactical skills, which can be provided. To be eligible for the position applicants must have excellent English verbal and written communication skills.

Salary & Benefits
NHTV Breda University of Applied Sciences offers help and experienced in organisation and facilities for costs of relocation and settling in the Netherlands. Dutch Tax authorities may offer tax reduction to applicants from abroad (which makes tax rates comparable to the UK and US).
This position is offered on a Master level within scale 11 or on a PhD level in combination with a research scale 12 (Collective Labour Agreement HBO - CAO-HBO). Master holders are appointed at a level 11 scale €3392.46 - €4661.12 gross (full-time). for holders of a PhD starts from a monthly minimum of € 4122.09 up to a maximum of € 5301.29 gross (full-time). You will get a fixed annual benefit of 8.3%. Apart from this, NHTV University of Applied Sciences offers you an 8% holiday allowance, compensation for your Health Insurance.
